15. Critical Push Alert/Notification Settings on FreeControl or iRisco App

Modified on Fri, 18 Oct at 10:16 AM

In order to receive push notification alerts from your intruder alarm app when your device is on silent/DND, you will need to check this setting within the app. Within the FreeControl or iRisco intruder alarm app head to the Main Menu>System Settings>Notifications Setup - Select your Basic Sounds ('System Default' will use your phone's default notifications sound). If 'Mute Override' is selected then the basic sound selected will play for approximately 5 seconds even if the phone is set to silent/DND. If 'Long (30 sec)' is also selected then the 'basic sound' chosen will play for 30 seconds instead of the 5-second default. Your device may also prompt you to check that 'Allow Notifications' and 'Critical Alerts' are selected for this app within your device settings. If you are not prompted, then we suggest that you check that these two notification settings are ON for this app within the settings for your device. Please note that this is a general guide and exact device settings may vary between devices. Your device may not have a ‘Critical Alert’ setting to enable.
