First, double-check that the green push to exit ‘break glass’ has not been pressed/broken.
If it is glass and it is broken then the glass will need to be replaced before it can be reset with the plastic reset key.
If it is plastic then use the plastic reset key to reset it. This should then restore power to the maglock/rimlatch which will then hold the door closed again.
If this does not need resetting then please check there is power to the maglock (and proximity reader)
To reset
- Place the reset key into the door release which will be either on the side or underneath
- When placed in make sure the key makes a clicking sound and then when this occurs pull down on the lower half of the cover
- When the lower half has been pulled down then remove the key
- Finally, then push up the lower half of the lid so it clicks back into place which should then reset the unit and allow power to the maglock to lock the door.
See images below showing the unit needing a 'reset' when the yellow line is showing at the top. The unit is 'reset' when the yellow line can't be seen.
